Highlights: Lincolnshire Show 2015 – Day 2

Day 2: The second and final day of the Lincolnshire Show has concluded with thousands more making the most of the sunshine at the Lincolnshire Showground.

The 2015 Lincolnshire Show has come to a close, with thousands more visitors flocking to the Lincolnshire Showground for another fun-filled day in the sunshine.

Once again visitors from across the county and further afield enjoyed the various live entertainment and stalls on display at the county’s 131st show.

Highlights of day two included a showjumping competition, a mini Grand National and a spectacular fly past by Lincolnshire’s very own Red Arrows.

The FA Cup also made an appearance, with visitors being able to pose next to the historic trophy in the Linkage Community Trust stand.

Jayne Southall, Director of the Lincolnshire Showground, said: “It’s been a fantastic two days with wonderful weather and it’s great to have seen so many people of all ages come to the show.

“We had about 28,000 visitors yesterday and we had to cut barley down from a field to create additional car parking space but there was a concern that there wouldn’t be the same crowds today.

“However, as we’ve seen it’s been another fabulous day with even more kids and families enjoying the show.

“That’s what the Lincolnshire Show is about – it appeals to all groups, traders and ages in equal measures.”
