Police search for van driver after ladder falls onto passing car in Lincoln

Ladder crash: Police are looking for the driver of a van who did not stop after a ladder fell from its roof onto a passing car.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a ladder fell from a van, damaging a passing car on Lindum Hill in Lincoln.

At around 1.15pm on Tuesday, June 9 a man was travelling in his blue Mazda up Lindum Hill towards the cathedral when a ladder fell off the roof of a vehicle passing in the opposite direction and onto his car.

The front bumper and rear wheel arch were damaged. No one was injured in the incident.

The vehicle the ladder fell from is believed to have been a white transit van and the driver did not stop.

Officers are looking to trace the owner.
