Car parking discounted in Lincoln until end of August

Summer parking tip: People visiting Lincoln this summer can bag a range of parking deals in some of the city’s most well-used car parks.

People visiting Lincoln this summer can bag a range of parking deals in some of the city’s most well-used car parks.

City of Lincoln Council is running offers at all of its car parks, providing daytime, evening and weekend parking until the end of August.

The cheapest day fee available is at Rosemary Lane car park, off Monks Road, where is costs £2.10 for the day..

Every weekend people can park all day for £2.60 in selected car parks – at Broadgate car park you can park for 24 hours from the time of purchase.

Rosemary Lane, county council offices and Sessions House offer all day parking until 8am the following day.

The current offers include:

  • A 25% discount on parking on Mondays if you use Paybyphone at any council-run car park. Register in advance online or when you get to the car park
  • After 3pm on any day, pay £2.10 for three hours parking at Tentercroft Street car park, and free evening parking is thrown in
  • Regular evening parking discount – buy a scratch card for £12.40 to use at any council car park after 5.30pm. The scratch card lasts for 15 sessions – working out at 83p per evening – and have no time limit. They can be bought from City Hall and Lucy Tower car park.

Rod Williamson, City Services Team Leader, said: “The city council is committed to providing great value, high quality parking in the city centre. By making the most of these offers we can continue to look at new ways of saving you money when you are visiting the city.

“Don’t forget, parking in city council car parks means the money you spend is reinvested in services for Lincoln.”

People wishing to park at Broadgate car park in the city should be aware of ongoing maintenance works, which are expected to last until September.

The city council is half way through the £700,000 improvements, with the top floor of the multi-storey now complete.

No more than 70 spaces will be unavailable at any time during the repair programme.
