Longer opening hours and service revamp for Lincoln Citizens Advice

Service changes: Lincoln Citizens Advice have announced that opening hours at their main office on Beaumont Fee will be extended, and staff are implementing a new way of helping clients.

Lincoln Citizens Advice have announced that opening hours at their main office on Beaumont Fee will be extended, and staff are implementing a new way of helping clients.

The changes, as part of a national move, will be enforced from Monday, July 6.

The office, now rebranded simply as Citizens Advice, will now open 9am until 4pm from Monday to Friday each week with a closure between 12.30 and 1.15 daily (an extra eight hours per week).

The office will be open to drop in callers throughout this time with staff on hand to try and assist clients with their enquiries.

Staff at the office say traditionally, Citizens Advice has allocated assessments to clients on a “first come, first served” basis which has led to queues at opening time.

Under the new system, clients are encouraged to call in throughout the day to seek help and advice, with assessments and support being provided throughout this time.

The offices are also set to provide access to online services for clients.

Helen Oliver, manager at Lincoln Citizens Advice said: “We are looking to make these changes to ensure that the people of Lincoln and the surrounding area have access to the help and support they need, at a time and way that allows them to move their problems forward.

“The new service will build upon the traditional quality of advice that our clients have come to expect and trust but in a more flexible and responsive way.”

Clients are being reminded that they can also access advice and information by telephone on 03444 111 444 or via the website.
