Two men arrested following string of burglaries in uphill Lincoln

Items stolen: Two men have been arrested in connection with four burglaries in uphill Lincoln over the last week.

Two men have been arrested in connection with four burglaries in uphill Lincoln over the last week.

The men, aged 25 and 26 years old, were detained as part of the investigation into the daytime burglaries at properties in James Street, Danesgate, and Gibraltar Hill on September 13.

A number of electrical items and tools were taken from the properties.

The men were arrested on suspicion of burglary and were interviewed by detectives at Lincoln Police Station. They have subsequently been bailed pending further enquiries.

Inspector Suzanne Davies said: “Following on from our increased patrols in this area and vigilant reporting from members of the public, I am pleased to report that two local men were arrested on suspicion of burglary. I would encourage anyone who sees any suspicious activity to ring 101.”
