Lincoln’s got talent: The cream of the Lincoln talent crop will be flocking to the city’s Cathedral Quarter this evening with hopes to impress Britain’s Got Talent scouts.

The cream of the Lincoln talent crop will be flocking to the city’s Cathedral Quarter this evening with hopes to impress Britain’s Got Talent scouts.

Producers of the popular ITV show are gearing up to meet the area’s best performers at the Magna Carta pub on Exchequergate.

The event will be an intimate pre-audition in an upstairs room of the pub with the regional BGT team from 6.30pm, on a first-come-first-served basis.

With more than 30 people having already registered interest for the pre-audition stage, organisers are expecting many more to arrive to show off their weird and wonderful strengths on the doors.

There are no spectator opportunities at this stage in the auditions.

A spokesperson for Thames TV said: “It involves a two to three minute audition. All variety welcome – we will be seeing people on a first come first serve basis! It’s just a great way to see the talent Lincoln has to offer.”

People can also register their interest and submit auditions via video and post here.

The show is celebrating its 10th year, and the lineup for the later stages will remain as Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
