Lincoln pedestrian killed in crash with van on Newark Road

Lincolnshire Police have confirmed that a pedestrian has died following a collision with a van in Lincoln on Friday, October 23.

The crash on Newark Road saw a Lincoln man involved in a collision with a white Vauxhall Vivaro driven by a 31-year-old local man, and was reported to police by ambulance control at 7pm.

The pedestrian was taken to Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham where he later died from his injuries.

The van driver was not injured and the road re-opened at 10pm.

Police have yet to formally identify the deceased and are in the process of ensuring that his wider family and friends are aware of the incident.
