Proud Lincoln College students, their families and special guests gathered at Lincoln Cathedral for the biggest graduation ceremony to date.

The annual event saw more than 150 students participate in fitting ceremonies as they celebrated the end of their studies at the college.

Over 800 guests in total attended the event on October 1.

Gary Headland, CEO of Lincoln College Group, said: “This is the 19th ceremony that we have been privileged to hold in this great cathedral and an incredibly special event in our calendar. ”

This year 350 students successfully completed higher education courses in a wide range of subjects from acupuncture and electronic engineering to sports therapy and human resource management.

“We were delighted that a large proportion of these were able to celebrate with us in style at Lincoln Cathedral.

“We are very clear about our mission which is to be employer led, producing a highly skilled and productive local workforce. The college is modern and agile; it has adapted and grown over time to ensure we continue to provide the right educational services to the people whom we serve, and we are continuing to thrive and grow against very challenging financial circumstances.”

On Wednesday October 7 Lincoln College will open its doors to prospective students to give them the chance to see its ‘Ofsted Outstanding’ education and training facilities in action.

Students and their families are welcome between 4.30pm and 8pm to explore the variety of educational opportunities the college offers, be that part-time, full-time, academic, professional technical training or apprenticeships.
