Biker dies in A16 Lincolnshire crash

Fatal accident: A biker has died in a crash with a car on the A16 near Louth at Utterby.

A biker has died in a crash with a car on the A16 near Louth on Saturday, November 21.

Emergency services were called to the A16 at Utterby at about 10.45pm on Saturday, where a red Yamaha 600 motor cycle collided with a silver VW Touran.

The motorcyclist, a 49-year-old man from Grimsby, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Touran, a 54-year-old local woman, was taken to Grimsby Hospital suffering from shock.

Officers have traced on Sunday the relatives of the motorcyclist and will release his details once all next of kin have been informed.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area around 10.45pm on Saturday evening, who saw either the red Yamaha 600 or the silver VW Touran prior to the collision or saw the collision itself to call on 101 or the witness hotline 01522 558855.
