Police investigate sudden spate of burglaries in Lincoln villages

Be on guard: Burglars have targeted a number of Lincoln villages in the last week, stealing cash and jewellery.

Lincolnshire Police are asking residents of villages near Lincoln to be alert after several daytime burglaries in the last week.

A number of incidents were reported to police in Saxilby, Scampton, Cammeringham and Marton on November 18, with all the burglaries taking place between 10am and 3pm.

Cash and jewellery were predominantly taken from each property after a window was smashed by the intruders.

The force has asked for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to get in touch.

Officers are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything unusual in the areas of Mill Lane in Saxilby; High Street in Scampton; Stow Park Road in Marton; and the Marton and Stow Park areas.
