Another warning to local people to remain vigilant around vehicle security has been issued after a spate of car break-ins in Saxilby over the weekend.

Lincolnshire Police received a report that a white Citroen Relay van parked on Mill Lane was broken into sometime between 5pm on Friday, December 11 and 2pm on Sunday, December 13. A number of tools were stolen. (Incident 292 of December 13)

Two vehicles were then reported to have been targeted on Fossdyke Gardens overnight from Saturday, December 12 to Sunday, December 13.

A Turquoise Toyota van was broken into, details as to what was stolen are still being gathered. An attempt on a white Vauxhall Vivaro van was also made. No entry was gained. (Incident 133 of December 13)

Officers are telling residents to remove all expensive items from vehicles, to make sure they are fully locked and windows are shut and secure and, where possible, to park them in secure and well-lit spots.

The warning comes after offenders in the Bracebridge area of Lincoln went on a vandalism spree, targeting a significant number of vehicles in the space of two weeks.

Anyone with information relating to any of the above incidents should call 101 quoting either of the incident numbers.
