Hundreds of people have donated over £4,000 to support the Taylor family from Lincoln, who have been affected by a fatal property fire just days before Christmas.
The major fire at the family magic shop and flat on De Wint Avenue in Lincoln tore through the building on the evening of Monday, December 21, sadly killing one male.
The name of the deceased has not been officially released by police at this time.
The fire is being treated as unexplained.
As investigations continue on December 22 into the cause of the fire, kind fundraisers have given over £4,000 to help the family.
The figure continues to rocket on the GoFundMe page titled ‘Taylor Xmas Appeal’, created by family friend Bekki Henderson.
Alongside donations on the page, and in comments on The Lincolnite hundreds of people have left their tributes to the grieving family.
Over 400 people have donated and paid their tributes.
Family members are thanking those donating for their support.
A few local businesses and organisations are also joining in with the appeal to offer money and services.
Meddo Lincoln, a local building maintenance and repairs company, has offered services on the fundraising page, as well as a Tesco Lincoln Extra Community Champion and Acorn Security Alarms.
