White van driver hospitalises Lincoln woman after mobility scooter hit and run

Hit and run: Lincolnshire Police are searching for the driver of a white van that crashed into a woman on a mobility scooter before fleeing the scene.

Lincolnshire Police are searching for the driver of a white van that crashed into a woman on a mobility scooter before fleeing the scene.

The owner of a Ford panel van failed to stop at the scene of the collision on the B1189, Station Road, Metheringham at approximately 8pm on Tuesday, December 22.

The van is thought to have sustained damage to its left wing mirror after colliding with the 66-year-old woman as she was crossing the road.

She was taken to Lincoln County Hospital with serious leg injuries.

The vehicle may also have sustained other damage to its front left side as a result of the collision.

The vehicle did not stop at the scene and drove away on the B1189 towards Woodhall Spa.
