Road closure: A section of a Lincoln road will be closed to motorists this Sunday as emergency resurfacing work is carried out.

A section of a Lincoln road will be closed to motorists this Sunday as emergency resurfacing work is carried out.

Repairs will be made to Greetwell Road between Queensway and St Anne’s Road.

To allow the works to be completed this section will be closed to motorists between 8am and 6pm.

Due to the recent cold weather several potholes have appeared in the vicinity of the zebra crossing and the whole crossing needs resurfacing.

Motorists travelling to Lincoln County Hospital from Monks Road or Outer Circle Road will be unaffected.

Drivers heading up Lindum Hill will not be able to join Greetwell Road unless they require access to Curle Avenue or Queensway only.

Diversion signs will be in place and the hospital, East Midlands Ambulance Service and local bus provider have all been informed of the closure.

One lane of Lindum Hill will also be closed for the duration of the weekend as engineers work to fix a leaking water main.

Repairs begin from Friday, January 15 at 8pm.
