Teenage biker dies after Lincoln crash

Fatal crash: A young motorcyclist has died after a serious collision in the Birchwood area of Lincoln.

A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died after a serious collision in the Birchwood area of Lincoln.

As previously reported, police were called to Woodfield Avenue at just after 1pm on Friday, February 12.

A grey Yamaha motor cycle had collided with a white Vauxhall Insignia which, it is believed, was parked at the time.

The local teen who was riding the Yamaha was airlifted to Lincoln County Hospital but died a short time later.

Investigating officers are asking for anyone who was in the area of Woodfield Avenue at the time and saw either the grey Yamaha before it collided with the white Vauxhall or saw the collision itself to call 101 or the collision hotline on 01522 558855.

The crash brings the number of people killed on Lincolnshire’s roads so far this calendar year to seven.

Further details of the victim are expected to be released later next week.
