A man has been arrested after the body of a 74-year-old homeowner was discovered in Boston, the third unexplained death investigated in the town in just four days.

Police were called to an address on Horncastle Road, Boston at 3.07am on Wednesday, March 30, by the East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The 74-year-old male householder was certified as deceased at the scene.

Officers are in the process of informing the family and friends of the situation.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained. A post mortem will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

A 60-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the 101 non-emergency number quoting incident number 28 of March 30.

As previously reported, police in the town are also investigating the discovery of two bodies in the last four days. Officers have stated they may be drugs related.
