Lincolnshire Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an attempted robbery from an 11-year-old girl on the Birchwood in Lincoln.

The girl was walking down a passageway from Clematis Approach towards Spirea Approach around 3pm on Wednesday, April 6 when she became aware of a person walking behind her.

Someone shouted at her to stop and when she turned around a man demanded she hand over any money and any phone she might be carrying.

The girl refused and carried on walking, at which point the man grabbed her round the wrist. She broke free and ran away.

The man is described as white, of slim build, wearing a blue hat, a grey jacket, black trousers and aged around 18.

It is believed he could have been with two other men who are not thought to have been involved.
