All four Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner candidates had the chance to wow their electorate in a debate ahead of election day on May 5.

Reactions were mixed from the audience, which consisted of both party members and undecided residents.

Audience members were selected to fire questions at the candidates in the hot seat at the Lincoln Drill Hall, challenging them on topics such as the retention of police officers, the force’s outsourcing contracts and the impact of their political roles on the position.

Following the lively hustings, which was live streamed on The Lincolnite and broadcast on BBC Radio Lincolnshire, voters reflected on the candidates’ high and low points.

Voters can also catch up with the candidates and their views after the debate in the video story here.
