A 32-year-old local man who was arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the investigation into the death of a woman in Boston has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Lincolnshire Police is still awaiting the completion of formal identification procedures and are not yet in a position to be able to name the deceased woman.

DI Jim Hodgson, of EMSOU Major Crime and who is leading the investigation, repeated his appeal for witnesses: “We have a number of enuiqiries underway in relation to this incident and I’m keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area of Elizabeth Road between the hours of 6pm on Thursday May 19 and 3pm on Friday May 20 and may have seen or heard anything they think might be relevant to the investigation.
