Woman’s death ‘not suspicious’ after waterway car plunge

Police investigating a woman’s death after a car was found submerged in a Lincolnshire waterway have said the incident is not believed to be suspicious. Police investigating a woman’s death after a car was found submerged in a Lincolnshire waterway have said the incident is not believed to be suspicious.

As reported previously, emergency services were called to Horncastle Road in Boston at around 7.45am on Tuesday, May 24.

The woman, believed to be aged around 70, had been found seriously injured in the sunken car. She was taken to hospital for treatment but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

Her next of kin have been made ware by officers, however she has not at the time of writing been formally identified.
