Biker named as police appeal for witnesses to fatal crash with lorry

The 21-year-old biker who died in a crash on the B1176 in Bitchfield on Tuesday has been formally named.

The 21-year-old biker who died in a crash on the B1176 in Bitchfield on Tuesday has been formally named as Powys-Llewellyn Cook from Grantham.

The crash happened at around midday on Tuesday, June 7, when his motorcycle crashed with a lorry.

Powys-Llewellyn Cook died at the scene. The lorry driver was not injured.

Lincolnshire Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision.

Sgt Ewan Gell, from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “I’d like to speak to anyone who was travelling along the B1176 Corby Road and saw either vehicles, the white and blue motorbike or the white lorry to please get in touch.

“This is a tragic loss of life and anyone with information who can help us put together the circumstances of the collision is asked to contact us.”
