Man critically injured after A46 Lincoln bypass crash

A man has sustained serious injuries following a crash on the A46 at the Wragby Road roundabout.

The two-vehicle crash involving a Volkswagen Passat and Mercedes C270 happened at just before 8pm on Sunday, July 24.

A 45-year-old man was airlifted to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham for treatment.

At this stage, Lincolnshire Police have said that his condition could be life-threatening.

One more person is believed to have been rushed to the QMC and another was taken to Lincoln County Hospital.

Both of their injuries are thought to be not as serious.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving.

He has now been released from custody pending further enquiries.
