Tower Bar on the University of Lincoln campus will be closed for just under a month as part of a £500,000 refurbishment programme across the Students’ Union venues this summer

Following from the installation of new flooring in The Swan and Engine Shed, Tower Bar is going to have a completely new look to be ready for Freshers’ Week (September 13 to 20).

Tower Bar will be shut between August 15 and September 10 while the refurbishment takes place.

Blue: Bar, Pink: Bar/dining, Green: Bar/dining

The Tower Bar will be divided into sections with a bar, dining lounge and game area.

Brand new furniture will also be brought into the venue.

The union will also be launching a new Tower Bar brand with a new menu.

The SU President, Sammi Storey, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to show exactly where our students’ money goes and I’m very excited to see the new look for Tower Bar.

“It’s an amazing feeling being able to do something to this scale and is a first of many steps to complete the new strategy we have in place for 2016 to 2021”.
