Contracts to manage two GP surgeries in Lincoln have gone out to tender this week.
As previously reported, Arboretum Surgery and Burton Road Surgery, both in Lincoln, underwent a change of management at the start of August.
This was because previous provider Universal Health Ltd asked local NHS commissioners to terminate its contract due to financial difficulties.
Metheringham Surgery and Pottergate Surgery, in Gainsborough, also underwent changes to their management system.
Bidders now have until Friday, October 14 to submit a formal interest in running one or more of the surgeries.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services Trust is currently managing the four practices at least until December 16.
NHS Lincolnshire West Commissioning Group, the NHS body responsible for commissioning 37 GP practices across Lincoln, Gainsborough and surrounding areas, has worked with NHS England to ensure the surgeries are given the best chance to remain open to patients.
The CCG has already held eight drop in sessions, two at each surgery, to gather patients’ views and health priorities, with another round planned for October.
More than 700 people have also returned questionnaires to help in the CCG’s engagement process.
Sarah-Jane Mills, director of development and service delivery at NHS Lincolnshire West CCG, said: “We are looking to make longer-term arrangements for the continued provision of these GP services and that’s why we needed to get people’s thoughts on the type of primary carer they want.”
