Pieces of an iconic disused service bridge on Brayford Wharf East are slowly being taken down as part of a four day demolition.

The bridge is being pulled down by CLS Demolition on behalf of the Estates and Campus Services team at the University of Lincoln.

Works for the demolition of the disused service bride are due to end on September 16.

As previously reported, the university submitted plans to the City of Lincoln Council and the Environment Agency to have the bridge demolished.

This demolition hopes to increase the safety of those who use the waterway below.
