The Day of the Dead Parade was inspired by an annual Mexican holiday (Spanish: Día de Muertos), which pays tribute to the dead.

A giant skeleton led the parade with a host of playful Halloween characters and sugar skull musicians.

The event will also take place on Saturday, October 29.
