How much do you spend on sweets for Halloween trick or treaters? According to a new UK survey, Lincoln is the sixth most generous city – so get ready to fill your pockets!

With Halloween just around the corner, neighbourhoods are beginning to stock up on sweets and chocolates.

People in Lincoln spend on average £15 on treats for spooky visitors according to the survey by Journalistic.org, in conjunction with online shop OnBuy.

While the figure might seem steep for some, the most generous area is Leeds, with an apparent average spend of £16.40 per household.

From the 65 UK cities included in the survey, Hull was branded the stingiest city, spending an average of £1.25, Followed by Nottingham and Cambridge.
