A 21-year-old accused of biting off part of a man’s ear admitted a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm when he appeared before Lincoln Crown Court.

Daniel Davis, of Belmont Street, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to the attack on Thomas Watson, 33, during an incident on Lindum Road, Lincoln, in the early hours of August 7.

The hearing was adjourned to November 4 for the preparation of a psychiatric report and Davis was remanded in custody.
