Two-way traffic lights will be in place on Carholme Road between four and five days next week to create a new police van speed camera bay.

Works will take place outside of rush hour periods from November 21 near to Carholme Golf Club to create a hardstanding space within the grass verge.

Temporary two-way lights will be in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

The pedestrian crossing near the golf club will be switched off during the works, with pedestrians directed to the crossing near the Co-op petrol station. The work is expected to take four to five days to complete.

A Lincolnshire County Council highways spokesperson said: “We realise this is a busy route, so the two-way lights won’t be in place during the morning and evening rush hours, which should minimise any disruption to motorists. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
