Two injured after serious A46 Lincoln bypass crash

A section of the A46 Lincoln bypass is blocked following a serious collision.

The crash happened just after 2pm on Wednesday, December 28 between the Doddington Road and Newark Road.

Motorists on scene reported that both sides of the road are closed to traffic.

Ambulance crews and police have arrived on scene.

Traffic is building in the area. Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.


Update 3.15pm: Lincolnshire Police conformed two vehicles were involved in the crash.

Two people were injured and were taken to Lincoln County Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.

The road is expected to be fully reopened shortly.
