Passengers in Lincoln can now catch a bus without the worry of carrying change thanks to a new mobile ticketing app.

The Stagecoach Bus App, which was originally launched in Greater Manchester on September 26, is now available in Lincoln and provides mobile ticketing, extra travel information and live bus tracking.

It is hoped the new app will save time by allowing passengers to instantly buy and download tickets straight from their smartphone.

What does it do?

The app offers a simple journey planner which uses interactive maps and the smartphone’s GPS system to help passengers find their nearest bus stop and the most suitable bus service for their journey.

The app also provides information on journey length and fare options, and you can track a bus in real time.

Payments on the app can be made by PayPal, or via debit or credit card.

The Stagecoach Bus App can be downloaded for free for Apple and Android phones from the App Store and Google Play.
