A man and woman have been arrested in Lincoln for possession with intent to supply New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), formally known as legal highs.

Officers carried out raids at properties in the city on Friday, December 16.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested at a property on Skellingthorpe Road for possession with intent to supply.

A 36-year-old man was also arrested at a property in Wedgewood Grove for the same offence and possession of a controlled drug.

Both will now be interviewed by Lincoln’s Criminal Investigation Department.

Anyone who knows where legal highs are being sold should call 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 to remain anonymous.

Lincoln made history when it became the first area to ban the use of legal highs in public. This was followed by a nation-wide ban on the use, sale and production of the drugs.

Updates will be reported when available.
