The team at Britain’s Got Talent returned to the city for a second round of auditions.

Scouts were back at Waterside Shopping Centre to meet Lincoln’s biggest talents on Friday, December 9.

The auditions saw a range of talent from all ages coming from near and far to try and bag a chance of performing on the programme and ultimately performing on the Royal Variety Show in front of the Queen.

Maria Zureiqi, 11, from Lincoln, sang ‘Listen’ by Beyonce as part of her audition.

She told The Lincolnite before her audition: “I’m really looking forward to it.

“I hope I do well, I’m really excited.

“I’ve never done anything like this before.”

Scouts from the popular TV show last visited the city in August, with hundreds of local dancers, singers, musicians and entertainers performing in the hope of securing a spot on the programme.

Launched in 2006, Britain’s Got Talent has been the springboard for many successful show business careers, including Susan Boyle, who sold over 20 million records worldwide, dance troupe Diversity, Paul Potts and Collabro. This year’s winner was magician Richard Jones.
