CCTV: Fraudster refunded for TV he’d just picked off the shelf in Lincoln Aldi

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for help tracing a man who was caught on CCTV picking up a television from the shelf at a Lincoln Aldi store and asking for a £329.99 refund. Lincolnshire Police are appealing for help tracing a man who was caught on CCTV picking up a television from the shelf at a Lincoln Aldi store and asking for a £329.99 refund.

The man pictured walked into the supermarket on Wragby Road on January 2 and picked up the boxed television on the shop floor.

He then walked straight to one of the tills and asked the cashier for a refund without a receipt.

He then left the till to speak with the manager, shook his hand and returned to the cashier who believed permission had been given for a refund.

The man received £329.99 and left the store.

Police say they would now like to speak with the man caught on CCTV.

Anyone who recognises the person in the photographs is being asked to call 101 quoting incident 324 of January 2.
