Staff and students at Bishop Grosseteste University caught a glimpse of the prize Lincoln City players have been dreaming of for weeks – the FA Cup trophy.

As anticipation builds for the cup quarter final on Saturday which will see Lincoln City play Arsenal, fans queued at the campus on Newport for their chance at a trophy selfie.

The Lincolnite also went along to photograph excited supporters:

The university, which sponsors the club, arranged for the genuine FA Cup to pay a brief visit on Thursday, March 9.

Queues of supporters turned up to have their photograph taken with the cup. All had their fingers crossed for the Imps, who are about to take on the most important game in their history.

The match takes place at the Emirates stadium from 5.30pm on Saturday, March 11 and will be broadcast on BT Sport.
