A man accused of a stabbing in Lincoln city centre today admitted a charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Ryan Townhill, 20, of no fixed address entered his plea when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court via video link.

Judge Simon Hirst remanded him in custody and adjourned sentence until later this week.

The charge followed an incident in which a 36-year-old man was stabbed after being attacked in Croft Street, Lincoln, on Friday, March 24.
