Easter weekend will see the opening of a new Lincoln cafe near Newport Arch, creating two new jobs.

Simone Wilson is fulfilling a lifelong dream by opening Coffee by the Arch in the former Bo-Peep Boutique shop on Newport, which has now moved to Bailgate.

Having taken voluntary redundancy from her previous job, and with experience working in hotels and restaurants, Simone is looking forward to starting out on a new venture.

Following a significant investment, the new 19-seat cafe will serve a range of coffees, smoothies, milkshakes, sandwiches, cakes, pastries and some hot food.

Simone said: “It’s been a life long dream. I did catering at college and have worked in various hotels and restaurants over the many years.

“I hope that this will be a nice warm, welcoming addition to the uphill area of Lincoln.

“We offer a friendly professional service and we should have one of the Knights outside which should hopefully bring additional people past.”
