Homes in villages east of Lincoln are facing low water pressure or no access to running water this morning due to a fault.

Anglian Water says around 2,000 homes have been affected in Branston, Bardney, Cherry Willingham, Nocton and all surrounding areas.

Engineers are on the scene dealing with the issue and the water supply is expected to return back to normal momentarily.

The issue was put down to a power outage at a local pumping station. This is being rectified at the time of writing.

Anglian Water issued the following advice: “When the water is back it may look a little cloudy or discoloured. If you run the tap a few minutes it should clear.

“We’re really sorry for any inconvenience caused by this interruption.”
