A two and a half week project to install 370m of electrical cabling between Bracebridge Heath and Waddington will begin this month.

Western Power Distribution is investing £115,000 on the improvements, with work in the area ongoing from May 30 until June 14.

Motorists in the area are expected to be impacted, particularly the A607 Grantham Road and the junction with the High Dike at Waddington.

One lane will be closed on the road and temporary three way traffic lights will be manned between the hours of 7:30am to 9:30am and 3:30pm to 9:00pm to minimise disruption at peak times.

DWP has committed funding for the project in order to improve supply reliability and customer service levels.

David Humberstone, WPD Team Manager for the area said: “This investment will help to safeguard electricity supplies for both our existing and future customers in the area for years to come by improving the infrastructure and security of our network.

“Our aim is to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum. We have been working with Lincolnshire County Council to minimise the inconvenience in the area.

“We have also been working to create temporary bus stops and we have informed RAF Waddington of the works.”
