The Mayor of Lincoln’s charity ball in aid of the British Heart Foundation raised an impressive £5,657 for the charity.

The glamorous ball at the Assembly Rooms in Lincoln offered sparkling guests a night of luxury, including a three-course gourmet meal, dancing and musical entertainment.

The event raised over £5,000 for the chosen charity.

The event is one of the last in the mayoral calendar for Mayor of Lincoln Councillor Yvonne Bodger, who will hand over the title to Councillor Chris Burke at a ceremony next week.

Mayor of Lincoln, Councillor Yvonne Bodger said: “The event was a great success, thanks to such a fantastic team effort and I am extremely grateful to all those who supported me with auction and raffle prizes, helping me to raise such a wonderful amount!”

The final total of £5,657 on the night was raised from a combination of donations, ticket sales and a charity auction that was held at the ball.
