Disruption is expected in North Hykeham later this year as five weeks of major roadworks begin.
Works, which will include the reconstruction of the carriageway and drainage works, will take place on Moor Lane/Newark Road from Monday, July 24.
Surface and drainage works will lead to temporary traffic signals, signed diversion routes, daytime and overnight closures at various times throughout.
Pedestrian access will remain as normal and vehicular access arrangements will be provided for residents, public buildings, facilities and businesses throughout the works. Traffic management will be removed during the weekends when possible.
Week one (wc July 24):
Moor Lane will be closed between Newark road and Barber Shop – a signed diversion route via Lincoln Road will be in place.
Newark Road SW will have temporary traffic lights on the crossroads while works take place between the bus lay-by and the crossroads.
Week two (wc July 31):
Moor Lane will be closed between Barber Shop and Robert Pattinson School – a signed diversion route via Lincoln Road will be in place.
Week three (wc August 7):
Station Road will be closed overnight between 23 Station Road and the crossroads. A signed diversion would will be in place via Newark Road.
There will also be temporary traffic lights between 291 Newark road and the crossroads.
It is expected there will be a five night closure between 6pm and 6am.
Week four (wc August 14):
There will be temporary traffic lights at the crossroads while work takes place between Spar and the crossroads.
Week five (wc August 21):
Newark Road will be closed overnight between the Moor Lane/ Station Road junction and Spar – a signed diversion route via Station Road will be in place.
It is expected there will be two night closures in place between 7pm and 6am.
