Temperatures are set to soar in the lead up to bank holiday weekend in Lincoln.

According to the Met Office, highs of 25 degrees celsius will be recorded in the city on Saturday, May 27.

The week’s forecast is looking promising overall with most days showing as dry and sunny and temperatures gradually climbing. Met Office forecasters say the city will be feeling warm and hot in sheltered spots.

The forecast for bank holiday weekend as issued at 1pm on Monday, May 22.

The city centre and historical quarter of the city are predicted to be particularly busy as residents and visitors take in the sights of the Lincoln Knights’ Trail whist enjoying the fine weather.
