A 35-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences after a man was stabbed at the Toys R Us store in Lincoln.

The incident happened at around 12.30pm on June 13 at the shop off Ropewalk.

One man in his 30s was taken to Lincoln County Hospital after receiving two stab wounds to his hand.

Stephen Whittington, of no fixed address, has been charged with theft from a shop, going equipped for theft, affray, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent to resist orprevent arrest.

He will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on July 12 and has been remanded in custody until this date.
