A section of Doddington Road, including the level crossing, will be closed to motorists this weekend due to works to repair a gas leak.

Engineers from local gas network Cadent will repair the leak in the pipe close to the rail crossing. The company is advising motorists to avoid the area.

The closure will run from 7pm on Saturday to 6am on Monday.

Traffic will be diverted via Doddington Road, Tritton Road, Newark Road, Station Road, Whisby Road, and Doddington Road.

Rail services will not be affected by the work.
