A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash in Lincoln yesterday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene of a crash on Monks Road in Lincoln on the evening of Tuesday, July 25.

Onlookers said they believed the driver had been pulled from the overturned vehicle after the collision at around 7pm near Devon Street.

The car had collided with a parked vehicle on the side of the road and flipped onto its roof.

A local resident told reporters a male appeared to be injured, but it was unclear how seriously.

Another vehicle is believed to have been damaged in the incident.

Police, ambulance crews and firefighters attended and the road was closed for some time to allow recovery of the vehicles involved.

Lincolnshire Police said on the morning of July 26 that a man had been arrested after failing a breath test under the Road Traffic Act.

He is currently in custody at the time of writing.

The collision is being dealt with under incident number 387 of July 25.
