The Lincoln Bailgate Busking Festival returned once again to showcase what the city’s buskers had to offer – and they didn’t disappoint!

Music began in the sun soaked Cathedral Quarter on Saturday, July 8 for the 17th year of the festival.

The free event showcased a number of the city’s buskers across a variety of ages in the Bailgate and was organised by local busker Steve Jackson and Lincoln BIG.

Organiser Steve previously told The Lincolnite: “I think that Castle square is one of the most picturesque locations to busk, especially when the sun is out.

“Busking is not all about being the most talented musician but it’s about capturing the passing audience with something unusual that will make people stop and watch.”
