Three people have escaped with minor injuries after two cars, a bus and a lorry collided on the A46 Lincoln bypass yesterday afternoon.

As previously reported, the collision happened between the Damon’s roundabout and the Skellingthorpe roundabout at around 3.12pm on Monday, July 17.

Police have now confirmed the crash involved a single decker bus, a lorry and two cars.

A section of the A46 Lincoln bypass was closed for around four hours while emergency responders worked to aid casualties and clear the road.

Three people were taken to Lincoln County Hospital via ambulance, however they are believed to have only suffered minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is being asked to cal 101 quoting incident 290 of July 17.

The collision was the second on the stretch of road in a matter of hours that afternoon. No serious casualties have been reported.
