Two men charged with criminal damage of two Lincoln knights

Two men in their 20s have been charged with criminal damage after two Lincoln knight sculptures were ripped from their plinths.

One of the sculptures, part of the Lincoln Knights’ Trail, was left with a large crack splitting it almost entirely in half, while the other ended up in the River Witham.

Kenneth Armstrong, aged 20, from Coningsby and Othman Alqahtani, aged 26, from Sleaford have been charged on Friday, July 14 with criminal damage.

As reported previously, police officers were called to reports that the sculptures were being damages at around 3.20am.

They arrested the two suspects after pulling the knight from the water near to the Green Dragon Pub.
