Originally based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1886 novella, Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, a musical adaptation of the story was brought to Broadway in 1997.

In the story Dr Jekyll takes a potion that turns him from a mild-mannered man into his violent madman alter-ego Mr Hyde.

Director Ben Poole, who also plays Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, told The Lincolnite: “I think it’s going to be a very stirring evening and it’s going to be a very emotional night for the audience.

“It jumps into the story straight away and then from there it’s a rollercoaster of emotions and there’s some beautiful ballads that the ladies sing which sound like Whitney Houston songs.”

Choreographer Hannah Simmons, said: “It’s been a really great experience and there’s been a large cast to work with.”

“It’s been a challenge, Ben and I have spent a lot of hours putting work into it, but it’s been really good.”

Tickets are still available for most of the nights and they can be purchased on their website.
