Police called after reports of man making threats with hammer on Lincoln estate

A man has been arrested after police officers were called to a Lincoln estate following allegations that someone was making threats with a hammer.

The incident on Woodburn Close on the Ermine estate was reported to Lincolnshire Police at 7.22pm on Friday, August 4.

Officers arrested a man on suspicion of affray.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police added that there were no reports of injuries.

An eyewitness told The Lincolnite that the man had tried to hit him twice with the hammer after a disagreement involving their children.

He said: “He was bang out of order. I don’t care that he brought a hammer to me it’s the fact there were seven or eight kids playing on street who are all terrified now.”
